euphoric1ParticipantAhhhh yes, the reminder to some that should just be common sense or second nature to practice, we can only hope we get through to some folks. Should make that a laminated sign to put up on trails and establishments who support the sport or are along the trail.
euphoric1ParticipantRibeye my go to as well, wife a big fan of lobster but I just don’t get the whole lobster thing, just reheated a 40 day aged ribeye for lunch that still melted in my mouth as it did when I first ate it. A little char on outside and rare on inside…OH YEAH!
euphoric1Participant“Am I discouraged? Not really.” My feelings exactly, pretty sure mother nature is going to do whatever she wants, I’m still booking and not putting any faith in long term forecasts, funny thing is if winter is mild they will say “see we were right” and if mother nature gives us what we want, we will be lucky to even get an “oops” or some kind of bogus explanation. Weather is weather and never any guarantee’s with it.
euphoric1ParticipantMy first sled was a 1972 Bolens Sprint, had a walboro WF carburetor on it, one of the pickiest carburetors to this day I have ever dealt with, worked on sled almost as much as a rode it, which inevitably led to and took me into my career path. Many good memories still, was first kid in the hood with my own sled. Moved on to a 1974 Polaris 440 Elektra which opened up whole new world of being able to ride without much mechanical work, the rest is history. Been riding since I was old enough to sit on the back of my dads sled and never looked back.
euphoric1ParticipantGot out on boat, first time this year, first time ever for grandkids, was a little worried but went well, grandson whimpering a bit about going fast but once we were able to.. fast wasnt fast enough LOL. Got some gills, I caught a few slabs. Worst fishing invention ever… Zebco closed end reels uuuugh, spent more time untangling, undoing lines wrapped around poles, making sure wife and I weren’t going to get hooked LOL. Granddaughter was vision fishing getting little ones but thats ok, she was ecstatic just catching something, All in all was a fun day on the lake, look forward to doing it again, posted pictures under pictures page

euphoric1ParticipantHonestly I’m not sure who is more excited about the weekend, me or them LOL!! I have 3 grandkids, the 2 we are taking are 5 & 6 (long story as to why this is first time) Only worry I have is they will be wanting to come up every weekend now LOL!! Got boat out of uncles building this morning, all set. Fishing in the morning, swimming, mini golf at Tom & Jerrys in Plymouth, dinner over the fire, finish with ice cream at Gesserts in Elkhart. should have no trouble getting them to fall asleep LOL!!! is it 5 o’clock yet??? LOL
euphoric1ParticipantHA!! know exactly what you are saying “she puts more fish in well than me” had same experience with my son growing up! I am so excited about this! and hope it will be the start of something good, that they will want to continue and realize the outdoors are way more fun than playing on the phone or tablet LOL!
