That’s just the kind of guy Gary is. The one in Montrose, MN is still for sale and everyday I fight the urge to buy it and pick it up when I head to the Cities at the end of the month. I have no use for it but I think I know someone who does.

Part of the fun is the suspense in looking. Just spent 3 years looking for a turntable from the early 70’s I had. Same thing, always a state or two away. Get home from last ride of the season, had surgery, get home in afternoon and bamm, one popped up a block away from my snowmobile buddy in Illinois! The satisfaction on the serendipitous find is so rewarding.

Agree, it’s a great feeling when something you’ve been searching for pops up where you can get to it and at your price. I’m currently casually monitoring the market for a 76 – 78 Cyclone/Liquifire but it would have to meet the mentioned conditions for me to bite. There are a couple around at the right price but 500 mi. away. Not quite ready for that time/money investment.

I think there might be a ew433 about 90 miles from me. Just two photos in the ad. Out of focus on the back tunnel to see if it is a “c”. Asked the dude what model it is and he sent a 10 second video front to back but no way to see the model number on the tunnel. He said need to snatch it up quick, someone coming today. He says it is a 1997 Yamaha 🤦

I’m real interested in hearing how this has unfolded and if it is the coveted Model C. You have to wonder about some of these sellers. Asking if it’s a Model C is not a hard question and for sure it’s not a 97. I see ads for vehicles on Marketplace all the time where the make/model of vehicle that is listed doesn’t match the photo. Same with snowmobiles. Saw an ad for two 79 John Deeres, neither of which was a 79. Crazy stuff.
